Lithium battery for S1

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am looking for peoples experience with lithium batteries.

I am thinking of fitting one to my S1.

I have seen the thread from 2016 and wondered how the batteries performed.

Thanks

Paul

After a bit of trial and error i have settled on using an Odyseey 680. Lithium are ok if you are racing. For a road or sprint car i would not bother as they need leaving on charge all the time for them to work when you want them too.

I’ve got a couple of Odyssey batteries PC625 and the 680 both on road cars and both very good. I do keep them on trickle charge though. The 625 is smaller but better cranking from memory.

£114 from memory, which I didn’t think was too bad. Plus £20 for the bracket and Gav did a cracking job fitting it, including a neat cut off switch.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like a lithium batt is a bad idea I will stick with an Odyessy.
