Best aftermarket steering rack

Can anyone suggest the best steering rack to get? They seems to be a lot of options from both the elise shop and elise parts. Want it to be fit and forget so don't mind spending more a few more pennies for longevity. The standard sona one is pretty terrible fed up of it knocking.

Is the elise parts ultimate rack overkill for road use?

I have fitted the EP quick rack or rather Gav has   lol.

Makes the car slightly heavier to steer at low speed. It improves the feel though and is a real bonus when sprinting on tight corners. Depends on usage i suppose as ever. My OE one lasted 80K miles though?

If you don't want to take the risk on a single ratio rack then the new variable ratio steering arm system has several advantages over a quick rack.

It gives a range of ratio options from OE to +21% at roughly 4% increments, the ratio can be changed quickly and easily. The design also brings the bump steer correction to the arm itself and not by moving the rack.

The bearing is the same one we use on the toe link kits so you can forget periodic TRE issues, it also allows another 4.5mm of camber and is much lighter than the OU arm.
