I don’t know how any of you find the time! What am I doing wrong?

Thrash it all summer and fix it in the winter. Before Christmas preferably as its too cold in the garage after  :)

Holy Cow!!  Are you Ed China in disguise?  😁

 This made me laugh. Not quite Dean.

To be honest i can remove the clams on my car in about an hour for both. (as they are a bit tatty i do not have to be that careful)

However i have no idea how long the sill removal will take. I am guessing the second one will take less time.

Putting it all back together with fresh paint will be another story though

Happy New Year!

Despite being cold in the man cave. :cold:Winter work has been progressing

Decided to colour match the centre tunnel and the footrest

Finish the front suspension off tomorrow with new ali belled discs and mintex 1155's.

New  throttle and hand brake cables next before racking the rear suspension.

That OEM 5 speed gate sticker cost £13! DSC_0007.thumb.JPG.839b60cf9fe9b1f7695e48737b5ce36e.JPG

@Broadside Velcro with the back against the tub

I saw Rocky had a few on the rack last time I was in UK Lotus Centre.

@Broadside... Mines got four threads riveted into the footrest and bolted through the floor pan. ... Velcro would be easier😋

Bloody oil leak has got expensive. I thought it was the crank seal and could not face dropping the gearbox out again on the garage floor. I passed it on to Gav. Turns out it was the gearbox output shaft seal. This meant box out and stripped due to the seal fitting from inside the box. Deep joy it has contaminated the clutch as well so a new clutch assembly fitted at £350 from EP. Only Gavs labour to pay for now. deep joy.

Here's my list to do before April, if I get time;

  1. Clean suspension and paint (not bad enough for a full strip down).
  2. Elisetalk Stan gear shifter reinforcement mod
  3. Paint or cover centre console.
  4. DIY Intercooler Heat Shield
  5. DIY Intercooler ducting to side vents
  6. Replace top dash surround (section with air vents) as its warped
  7. Black, light weight PRO-ALLOY boost pipes (on special order)
  8. Find someone to fill number plate holes and paint front splitter
  9. Paint rear spoiler black (undecided on this at the moment)
  10. Wrap rear light surrounds
  11. Strip and clean brakes, replace fluid
  12. Re-wrap roof scoop

Unlucky that Martin, although he will be working like wildfire at the moment, refreshed from his Jollys.

Yep, if you do trackdays and sprints in them you are bound to get a a bit of wear and tear. Soon be ready for the new season   :)
