No key for passenger door S1

Hi folks,

in the midst of converting an Elise S1 race car into a tarmac rally car and I do not have a key for the passenger side door and the door is in the lock position so whenever I shit the door the outside button pushes in but does nothing so I have to unlock it from the inside which is a pain!

any advice on a fix, I can see inside that the mechanism just needs turned but don’t fancy stripping the whole door to do this.
