That's a shame, hopefully no damage caused and an easy fix for you. See you next time.

If it's any consolation, we did have a great practice of the Baslow classic run on the way there B)

Oh i was pig-sick i couldn't make this this morning.  I was called out all morning too.  What did I miss?  Was Simon there in the elan?  Was Mike there in the E type?

What did Ray do to his brakes? (I can probably guess - wore them out hooning? 😁)

Did anyone take any photos?

Nah you didn't miss much B)

Dunc, Ray and myself met up at the Wheatsheaf at Baslow for a trial run of the LitP 'Classic' run route, setting off at 08:30 to see what the roads would be like at that time...

The run was good, I think we may have run it at an ever so slightly quicker pace than the classics will do on the day though  The route was great fun, we encountered a herd of cows, the odd bike and horse and a couple of tractors with rather wide trailers but that's to be expected. One or two junctions were a little unsighted due to long grass but that will hopefully be less of an issue by then. Ray's brakes were squealing a little that's all, probably worn them out.

When we arrived at Hassop a gathering of Morgans had arrived early and snaffled our usual spot but we all managed to squeeze in, Chris Lawless was there and one or two other Lotus.

I took a few photos at Hassop, sorry I didn't get everyones.

Simon was in Murray's old Exige....another one to the collection

Mike was in the Elan rather than the E type...there was another E type there though...

There was a lovely Seven...

Andy was there in his Cup...loving the colour coordinated roll bar brace

Dunc's toxic green version was attracting a number of admirers...

And there was another Hethel 20th edition Elise in green...

Dean, as Phil's photos show you didn't miss much, it was all pretty 'meh' to be honest.

Haha yeah right!!!! Great morning, absolutely beautiful weather, the classic run was a hoot and although there were a few interesting encounters (you missed out the bus Phil!)  the traffic was light so that's good. :)

Mike's Elan was absolutely mint, beautiful   and Simon's new Exige 240 acquisition  looks very nice. Don't know if you realised Phil but the guy we were talking to at the picnic table (Richard) will probably be using that Seven to lead out the first classic group

What a fab Sunday morning that was! Good to see so many out on the Elans and dad's first drive. It was the first time he's driven a Lotus in nearly 46 years and his first time driving an Elan, he absolutely loved it! Cheers all for the kind comments, I will pass them on to him. Top photography Phil and Duncan it's an S 220 ; )

Sorry I missed this, took the kids to the Nottingham Motor Show for the morning, had to spend the rest of the weekend relaxing.

Stunning cars and weather.

Baslow meet Wednesday night if you can make it FISH?
