It’s a long time since I’ve posted in this section, but here goes. 

As my Lotus is under repair at the moment we had no choice but to use my Father In Laws Jaguar F Type Coupe to get to Francorchamps. 

 

It’s an utterly effortless cruising machine, as sadly we were just intent on getting here as quickly as possible, so just did motorways. 

Walking around on the Friday (arrivals and early practise day), I saw lots of interesting cars in the paddock and please forgive me for focusing on our marque. Here you go...

Stunning automotive art and the best looking Honda Cub I’ve ever seen! 

GT40 (replicas). Beautiful.

Well luckily for you, I too am a huge fan of the GT40. There’ll be more pics over the weekend. One pirouetted at Au Rouge today, luckily it ended well 😱

It was also the first time I clapped eyes on the new Alpine A110. I like it, but it’s bigger than I imagined. The quality of some materials gets a slating in the automotive press, but it’s better than any Lotus I’m familiar with. The new Elise will have its work cut out...

Some beautiful machinery on show there Kurt, the M1 brings back memories of when I watched the pro-cars when they came to Donington in the 80's with the likes of Alan Jones behind the wheel.
