Help wanted

Anyone know of someone who can set up my carbs twin 45 dhla delortos on my 89 excel, there not to bad mainly lumpy on tickover and running a bit rich most people i ask have never seen any, i live in Derby and dont mind travelling a bit but dont want my pants down at £95 per hour plus vat and dont know how long it would take from one quote, best regards Carl.

Carl if I were you I would try Gavin at Unit 4 Vehicle Services at Burton.  He looks after my Elise and is a top bloke plus he charges £50 plus vat per hour, and he works fast 😊

I ought to add he has worked for himself specialising in Lotus for about 9 years and for the 10 years before that he was the mechanic at Peter Smith Sports Cars (now defunct Lotus main agents but you probably knew that)

When I had my Elan Sprint, I took it to a chap called Ike (German I think) at Chatsworth Motor Spares in Chesterfield Tel: 01246 278633.

Be prepared for his brusque nature and very politically incorrect jokes, but he sure can tune carbs. Races his own Lister Jag!

Took car to Gavin today set carbs, mixture emissions runs a lot better now nice guy, thanks for the advice Dean.
