Hadrian
Hi all, I have a 211 which I use as a track day car and not on the road though it is insured and has an MOT. I'd like to take it somewhere local to have some work done; there's a leaking Driveshaft CV joint gaiter that sprayed grease all over the engine at Silverstone last time out and I'd like to have better engine mounts and a suspension set up. I'm based in north normamptonshire near the A14 and A6 and ideally I'm looking for someone local who specialises in race/ track set up ratter than a main dealer. Has any one got a recommendation? Anyone had experience with http://www.track-group.com ? Grateful for any advice. I have posted on SELOC also. Hadrian
jonnyfox
Yes Track Group are a throughly professional outfit with an excellent relationship with Lotus, Aston Martin and very soon McLaren I believe. They are currently rebuilding my S1 Exige VHPD. They are also next door to Elise-Parts. You can shop while you wait ;-)
winthattt
I think we should all be warned to watch out for drive shaft gaiters. My S1 Exige gaiter failed at Donington and the grease caught fire (no damage done). A few weeks ago I was there with a 340r owner and his drive shaft gaiter did exactly the same thing, on the same corner. I just saw him vanish into a cloud of smoke - no damage done either. Martin R
This man takes some beating. Is he near enough? http://www.guglielmimotorsport.co.uk/
lummo
This man takes some beating. Is he near enough? http://www.guglielmimotorsport.co.uk/ I was going to recommend Steve Guglielmi too. Only been there once, but was very impressed by both the knowledge & the customer service.
