Possible S2 111S Purchase

Hi guys this is my first post after selling my last S1 Elise in 2010. I am looking to get another and have seen a nice S2 111s advertised that I might go and look at.

My only concern is all of the problems I have read about with regards to the paint blistering in freezing weather and some even say it can happen in the really hot weather!!

The car will live in a garage and isn't an everyday car but will get used all year round except in really poor weather.

-If the car hasn't blistered in the last 11years does that mean it shouldn't or is it something that can happen any time?

-Do all S2s suffer or only some?

 

I'm just concerned it might prove expensive if I have to keep having paintwork done!

 

Any advice would be appreciated

I think if it hasnt happened by now and is kept in a garage it should be fine. My 2005 has a couple small blisters that havent got any worse since the day I bought it 4 years ago.

I agree with un1eash. If it's kept in a garage it will probably be ok. And even if it isn't some paint isn't ridiculously expensive.

Paint blistering is no worse on any Elise.  If it has none now there's no reason it'll develop especially as it's kept in a garage.
