Outside Car Cover

All right, in the case I do not have a garage for the whole winter, can I have an outside car cover to protect the car ? I have read a couple post about it, so if I do it, the car will not move anyway, and be cleaned right before covering it up, is it acceptable ? What could go wrong ?

If it is feasable, is this one a good one ?

That looks suspiciously like a Specialised cover, they call theirs Stormshield and I think it may be a tad cheaper buying direct from them, seloc discount if you ring them.

Specialised are the best in my opinion, I recently sold my old S1 cover via Ebay only for the winning bidder to refuse to pay for it because his GF had bought him a brand new one for his Bday which he wasn't aware of

Mine will be back for sale once Ebay sort it all out, Ive used specialised covers for quite a few years now and as long as the car is clean when "going under" then you won't have any problem at all, great protection for your car

h ok thank you, but your s1 cover wil not be sized for my Exige I think, as I have the gt3 Spoiler, or whatever it is called ...

I wasn't trying to flog it to you Your right it wouldn't fit. Just wanted to point out that the cover your considering is cheaper direct from Specialised

No worries, but I would have bought yours, if it would fit  I think I go for Specialised, the 4 weeks delivery is a bit annoying, but that's my bad ..

They tend to say 4 weeks to cover their own arse in my experience.

Wind is your problem! try and leave it in as sheltered a position as possible. As said above Specialised are the best from my experience.

A bit more expensive, but I'm super happy with my carcoon !

 

Nothing touches the body work, it's ventilated, comes with a battery conditioner and can be used for different cars if you ever swap.

Well carcoon is not really an option, because I do not want to blind the window right next to the car ... It a wind free space, which is a good point I reckon, and to be fair, it is not a years investment, but more of a short term solution
