Dr H
Not much to report but some progress made. Radiator now refitted with new fans attached, don't ask why, my response will be 'why not?' 😉 look neater and had the rad modded to allow them to attach directly to welded on brackets. Just need to add the wiring connectors so I can plug them into the front loom. Need to refill the coolant system now, so am ready for it to leak again like last time....... I was also have a few issues with the float switch i put in the header tank (pics and info somewhere back in this thread). It was fitted from the top. When the coolant fed back into the tank (from the top inlet) it was hitting the float / causing a lot of turbulence and it cause the light to flash intermittently. Rather annoying. When I was over at the place getting the radiator modified I noticed he made all sorts of stuff like rads, intercoolers and header tanks etc. One thing led to another and I ended up getting him to make me another header tank to deal with this issue Company is called Allyfab and based in Clowne. Top bloke and top work with very fair prices. www.allyfab.co.uk The idea behind the new tank is that the return is routed (internally) down to the bottom of the tank. This means the returning coolant is going back into the coolant at the bottom of the tank ad will cause a lot less turbulence (hopefully). Also decided to fit a shorted float switch from the bottom rather than top as this makes the cable routing neater in the engine bay. Had all the door hinges black powder coated Fitted the central locking actuators. Made a bracket: Added some rivnuts: So I could attached the actuator and fit it to the inside of the door Attached the bracket by glassing it to the inner side of the door Attached actuator and connect to the door catch /lock with a link rod I had lying around Seems to work well. Rear end is all sorted except for the numberplate light Plan is to replace the one supplied by LB with a 3d printed version from a fellow builder so it can house a rear view camera. The camera: Will be attached to this camera mirror (bottom one is the LB supplied mirror) It's a full screen video mirror that also have a front facing 'dashcam'. SD card for video and photos. G sensor for recording collisions etc. Looks liek a normal mirror until you turn it on and the video screen is the whole thing, not just a panel to one side like a lot of mirrors like this. Colour sample cards arriving tomorrow hopefully and plan is to go to paint at the end of Jan. Meanwhile I'll be getting on with other jobs like fitting all the fixings for the wheel arch liners etc as they are only temporarily fitted atm. KurtB
Leigh, despite my mickey taking on SELOC (ref NG, NG), I am in absolute awe with this build. You continue to do a great job, way beyond anything I’d be bothered with doing. Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing the finished Strato’s. I think we need to organise a photo shoot when it's done with some old warbirds. Got any contacts? Glad to see you used the apostrophe in Strato's - I forget most of the time...... timbo
Looking at them against the grey background, the left one looks to be closest to the original Stratosphere colour.

Colours are (left to right) Fiat 584A Porsche 137 Gelbgrun Pantone 375c Pantone 368c Closet to original is the Fiat. It's basically the current version of Verde Chiaro. But it's very yellow bit like Lotus Pistachio. Not green enough for me. 368c is slightly gray. 375c is the 'brightest' of the lot. Gelbgrun is the 'greenest' ans most modern looking colour. Keep flipping between 375c and Gelbgrun.....

Yep it is. it seems to be the current version of the Verde Chiaro colour which is a 70s Fiat / Lancia colour.
Reg
Great news that it's getting towards paint. My personal favourite shade is the 3rd one, 375c..., although I am colour blind!
Dr H
I think I'm with you Reg. Was thinking the Porsche colour was best but I really light the 'brightness' of the 375c. Sort of like a modern version of the Fiat colour which is close to the 70s original colour. Under fluorescent light it almost burns your retinas! This pic doesn't really do it justice. Daveb99
Another vote for top left, it’s the closest to Scandal Green 😁
Dr H
disable Since you refreshed there has been 1 new post. checking... Dr Hedit Few more small steps: Fitted front wheel arch liners. Rivnuts in the chassis and 5mm stainless hex heads. Figure these are better than cap or button heads that will just collect dirt if I ever actually drive the car. (I said it before anyone else did....). Liner and chassis will be coated in stone chip when having the car painted. Rear louvres fitted. They will need a bit of work before paint Clam catches drilled (they needed another hole putting in them) and fitted. Blurry pic Rear view mirrors fitted. Had to bolt the seat in to check where they needed to be. The look great and are very 'period'. However you can see fuck all out of them
