Martin R
Nice work, who owns the acid bath then to clean the ally? PM if you like.
jonnyfox
That's a picture sent to me by Badger Anodising in Birmingham. Top man, he's done quite a bit for me. The aluminium is generally arriving scratched from my fabricator being cut from off cuts (no qty). Much like the divider due to general wear needs to be sanded so I use a 180/240 followed by a 500/400. He can strip but there's no point unless the prep work is done as the new coating will still highlight all the imperfections. Basically the material needs to be perfect before anodising. He can however bead blast and polish on site buddy. He did my uprights earlier in this thread.
jonnyfox
Made a start on the headlights. I bought new lenses, springs, clips and nylon wing nuts off EP. Rubbers and seals were fine. So new headlights, indicator lenses and badge. I have the blackouts vinyls on order with load of other gear from DeRoure.

The Cakes
I wouldn't want to ask what this has cost but I'm sure it's worth every penny and more! I wouldn't want to drive it, think I'd put it the living room and polish it daily. Brilliant!
jonnyfox
:-) I may have gone a bit OTT. It's not been too bad though getting most stuff done locally. Engine, paint and dampers are where the cost lies.
