Looked on SELOC and their aren't many solutions.

One option mentioned is to contact Geary at Elise Parts who make there own roofs and may be able to sell you one/a pair.

 

Can the bolt be removed and a new one put it?

 

Thanks fish, will ring Geary later.

Will also see if the bolt can be removed/replaced, was a little dark to look properly last night.

How about when you put the roof on do the front pull to the back and pull that on in tensioned before you pop the other side in, then no need to tension that side with the bolt, I have done this by accident once or twice in the past

thanks dennis, I read this suggestion on seloc, and it does work.

had a look at the mech this afternoon and wouldnt be too hard to repair however would mean no roof for a few days.
