New Lotus Products Coming Soon?

15 posts in this topic

Having just read about the Exige V6 roadster now in the Malaysian market, the following extract pops out;

"The introduction of this latest model to the Malaysian market is important as the company looks to remain relevant and competitive. As it is a very competitive market, it is pertinent for us to introduce more and more exciting products to our customers in the future with an improvement on the overall product quality. These products must be complemented with the best of quality, cost and delivery which is now a standard operating procedure at Lotus and Proton," said En Aslam."

"introduce more and more exciting products to our customers" any guesses??

New colour scheme or the same old range will not go down well.

New Esprit - development was almost complete when DRB canned it, so not a "massive" amount of work to finish it off for production. Could even have the new in-house designed V8 too.

Lotus needs a huge increase in profit margin per unit before it can even think about developing an "all new" Elise. A 120 grand Esprit could provide that income if quality was spot on and it turned out to be Porsche / Ferrari / McLaren killer.
