nokesy
Hi MLOC'ers, Sure that this has probably been done to death, but the quotes i have had are coming back ridiculos, I am 37, got no NCD as it is on my other car, I am an IAM member, and am a club member for several clubs. Plan on doing about 3-5k a year, maybe some track days and I own an S1 elise, with no mods...yet!! Quotes I am getting back are aound £700, more than I paid when I was 18! BUT, what are people insuring their S1's for?? I have loads of experiance driving these tyes of cars as well I have been on SELEC an MLOC and looked through all of the insurance people and rang a few, but i would appreciate first hand info. Any advice on whom is doing good cover, would be appreciated, whist the horror stories would be good to know too, so we know what to look out for. i.e track cover is an extra £59 but windcsreen cover is an extra £130... Alex B
My s2 at 24 was 990 to insure no track days though but that's also 4yrs ncb. Try these http://forums.seloc.org/viewthread.php?tid=362229 The guy who set the policy up is a seloc member I think
russelld
It is just a case of getting the best cover for your needs at the best price for you. There are 3 specialists that advertise with MLOC have you tried all 3 ? http://www.aib-insurance.co.uk/ http://www.hendersontaylor.co.uk/ http://www.manninguk.com/automotive/index.php Personally I found AIB very good ( daily car not Lotus ) Also give these a try ( if you haven't already ) http://www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/ http://www.reis.co.uk/ Good luck.
