daves2111s Posted December 29, 2013 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Had mine fitted by DRM when the clam was off for suspected HGF & 4:2:1 Having watched it being done I would not fancy the job with the clam still on. With the very appreciated help from Jody, new uprated gearbox mount and adjustable engine steady now fitted. I now have around 15-20mm of clearance now. A lot better but still not as much as i want. The main engine mount is now removed and these bushes are also worn. Also the standard mount i have is slightly offset towards the bulkhead. I have decided to buy the Elise parts uprated mount (not the vibratecknik one though). This mount sits more central and should in theory bring my engine back a bit further. I imitated where this mount should position my engine and this should give me the clearance needed. (hopefully). Once this is fitted i need to secure the lower coolant pipe to the bulkhead with a more permanent method. (Jody has come up with a great idea here).
