An Alternative To Axle Stands....

I doubt a block of foam is stronger than than a galvanized subframe. I expect the bolt head will just leave a small mark in the foam. This actually looks like a good solution for getting the car in the air for various reasons.

 

4 x suitable sized blocks might sell well actually. i will have 4 at the right price They will be a lot easier to use than axle stands as well. I would still use axle stands to crawl underneath though.

I have to admit it's incredibly stable. You can easily do work on the car without any fear at all of it shifting.

I presently use the boxes of paper solution but have to keep them in the loft which is a pita, are these as light as they look? If so I'm in for a set.

I use the boxes of paper technique. I keep a couple of boxes handy in the garage, but I do worry that one day I'll find that mice have chewed into them to make a nest.

This is a genius idea - how much are they? I wouldn't mind a set. What's the shear strength like? My garage floor has a very subtle slope to it, not enough to really notice but it is obvious if you get a lot of water on it. Not a problem i hope?
