scatty Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Think I've found the new car.....i'm just 20,000 euros short......:-(
Alex B Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 S1 exige over a jap crap family wagon with a spoiler anyday.
scatty Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Lol Alex. :-) mrs scatty agrees I'm afraid, she wants me to keep mine or get another....women, you can't win.... Jody sent me a link to this that's for sale... It's probably a bit rough around the edges, but I like what's inside of it..... What are people's thoughts on it??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Elise-Exige-Motorsport-Bodywork-Honda-K20A-Type-R-Supercharged/190857977697?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%253D111000%2526algo%253DREC.CURRENT%2526ao%253D1%2526asc%253D14%2526meid%253D8472011028394668367%2526pid%253D100015%2526prg%253D1006%2526rk%253D1%2526sd%253D190857977697%2526

Chris_edeson Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 The thing is scatt man, what are u buying it for? Regular commute/city use or just fun for the club and track?? I cant imagine a racing s1 exige doing u well in the winter ect.... If its a car for fun then thats fcking superb!!! If its for everyday use urs is the one! Did urs sell yet??
scatty Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Not sold yet mate... I know what your saying. Lol. Jody is just teasing me into not getting a rice rocket.... :-)
KurtB Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I'd have to agree with Chris, Scatster. And although it looks funky, you'd know in the back of your mind that its a replica (but probably much quicker, and reliable). So on that basis, I say get it and a cheap daily drive to knock around in... ...but Chris is right...
Dr H Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 The Ebay car is this one: http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/topic/60759-exige-motorsport-s1-honda-with-jackson-supercharger-engine-fuel-pump-relay/page__hl__%2Bhonda+%2Becu
Steve J Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Wouldn't bother. They're a bit outdated and clearly not a very good looking car.
John FISH Curtis Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Wouldn't touch that S1 Exige copy on eBay. Its an S1 with aftermarket Exige body kit that is flexing and cracking (you also need to check the rear spoiler isnt just bolted to the clam). No aircon, so roasting hot. Covered in stickers & has been tracked heavily. Doesnt look looved and looked after like yours. The description is poorly written and does not talk about the cars past and how it was built to an Exige copy. It will be more uncomfortable than your current Exige and worse as an every day car. Does not mention service history etc. Why not chuck £3000 at yours with a super charger?
Dazzx10r Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Scatty, why not keep yours and supercharge it? you allready have a very nice base to start from
scatty Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 It is an option, although for the cost involved I'd be better selling mine and biding my time for an "s". I was just aroused by the type r supercharged variant.. Like lots. ;-) And it stopped me thinking of a dirty Evo.... ;-) If mine sells, I might go for a sneaky look.... Be rude not too......
