StuB Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Just to let you know mine has arrived today (I was away on Tuesday when they first attempted to deliver). I wish I'd bought two of them now as I'm finding it hard not to set it off and see what it does I'm very impressed with how small and light it is. Thanks for going to all of the trouble of organising it.
Meister Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I'm still not sure where to fit mine. Has anyone fitted theirs yet and if so where??? Also did you use HD velcro or the supplied 'clip'?? Mark
Xtremelangy Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Finally got mine today (been away for a few days), looks like a nice compact bit of kit. So has anyone tried it yet
garz Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 got mine also - thanks for sorting this out impressive little thing if anyone sets one off just to see what it does - be sure to take video interested in mounting positions so post up your pics Cheers !
Xtremelangy Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I've temporarily put mine just in front of the boot release handle. Will see if it get's in the way and stays put.
Meister Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 got mine also - thanks for sorting this out impressive little thing if anyone sets one off just to see what it does - be sure to take video interested in mounting positions so post up your pics Cheers ! Hi All After much deliberation I have decided to fit mine just in front of the passenger seat. I gave the aluminium and extinguisher a quick wipe with methylated spirit ( which I find doubles nicely as a warming beverage ) first, before applying HD Velcro. I have tested and there is no way my extinguisher is going anywhere with the kind of G I can generate but is easily reached in case of an emergency! No drilling or tapping and no mess, the HD velcro is easily removed by using a hairdryer to heat it up and then using some fishing line behind it to remove it. Jobs a good'un! Mark
garz Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 good location - the only thing that worries me about stuff in the cabin is - in the event that we hit something - anything not really well bolted down becomes a missile. arguably here it would most likely shoot into the footwell - and perhaps not do anyone any major damage
