Laura Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Just recently had the Exige in for a service at Stratstone, goes without saying great service from Mark, Ian and the team as usual but what was rather impressive was the service package we purchased. It was £399 and it includes: 2 services 2 annual health checks 2 MOT's Was too tempting an offer to refuse when a service isn't far off that and MOT's are £55+ these days. Had one service already and took it in for an MOT last week, nice to know its all paid for and last year won't cost any more. Every little helps
a7esk Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 No that's a great price did They wash and polish ?.
Laura Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 No that's a great price did They wash and polish ?. Of course. Got a nice look around my stunning wedding car while we were there too - turns out you can fit a push chair in the boot ;-)
DeanB Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Of course. Got a nice look around my stunning wedding car while we were there too - turns out you can fit a push chair in the boot ;-) You guys got something to tell us or what?
Laura Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 You guys got something to tell us or what? Yep, we arent getting an Evora lol. Only new wheels in our household in the near future is a new set of tyres for the Exige, no push chairs just yet.
a7esk Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Are I like that test drive if it does not fit Ouch . Hi both . Eddie
winthattt Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 My Exige had a full Lotus service history and had some important items missed, like brake fluid changes, so it boiled. It is worth checking that all elements of the service are done. I avoided the risk this year and did it myself this year. I have had to repair stripped rivnuts in the subframe which not may have been done at servicing, but was not fixed or reported at the last Lotus service, so my diffuser was only held on by two of the four big bolts.

Always better to be safe than sorry like you say and we do keep a close eye on whats going on with the car. I know in a previous life with a previous dealer things were missed on the Exige but I am pleased to say I have never had any problems with my services or any work done from the guys at Stratstone since going there in 2007 with either my Elise or Exige
winthattt Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Yes, I am not saying it was Stratstones they did the service before the fluid boiled but it may have been missed before and not due then. The car had a FLSH. I am much happier now I have been through the service myself. Now of to fit the Heli-coil to repair the stripped threads for the main diffuser bolts....
darryl Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 to good a deal to miss and have booked the Cup in for it's first MOT and its yearly service; the guys at Stratstone's have always done us proud especially with the Cup
P4N Lotus Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Have taken up this great offer having been impressed with the customer service , hopefully this will be followed through during my next service there, that's for the heads up darryl
Chris_edeson Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Iv also signed up for this. A service and mot with mloc discount is nearly £360... You pay £399 for 2 of each with this. No brainer really.
