Chief
Just took my Elise Sport 160 into to my local Lotus specialist yesterday and he’s informed me that the car is running rich and requires the ecu remapping. The ecu is the standard one that came with the car and I want to leave the standard ecu in! Is there anywhere I can take my car to have the ecu remapped? Many Thanks Paul

chorton_1
Weren't There were two versions of S160, to do with how they were approved for registration? I'm not sure if these had different ECU's or if either of them are remappable. Other than cost, I would have no hesitation to replace the ECU with a mappable one though, eg an Emerald. Any indication as to why it's running rich - is this characteristic of them?
Chief
Sorry there are two types the SVA and WVTA mine is the WVTA. I have thought about the Emerald but at £600 I was hoping to take it somewhere to get it remapped.
