G Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Such a nice car in the flesh, interior is pretty much identical to a standard S2, the build quality looks spot on and im sure the massive 4 pots on the fronts and rears would put you through the windscreen. late, but well done Lotus! looking forward to a test drive.

Stik Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I had a brief drive in the demonstrator at bell and colvill, while I was there for a test drive in an S2, it was pretty awesome. Maybe in a couple more years I could afford one. Must say that one looks good in the colour, b&c one is white which doesn't look quite as shiny The brakes were indeed very fierce

rocketian Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I had a demo drive with a Lotus staff driver in one last sumer at Castle Combe. It is indeed awesome. The 3 point harness was totally inadequate as the brakes are indeed fearsome. I spent most of the time hanging on to the seat base between my legs. I think we were travelling at 20-30mph faster than in my 111R - all the time. Three reasons - better car, better driver, not his tyres. From the pit wall it sounded like a jet fighter with the supercharger going full chat. It really was in a different league from all the other car/driver on the track that day. I want one too !

They keep asking if I'm interested in one and they'll organise a test drive .... ahhhhhh .... Resist ..... I must resist ... Tbh - its a bit too much for me and I've not SC'd my honda yet.
