Numbnutz Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I've just added the heater control actuator to my list. I just found out its dead after a Rad and heater resistor refresh etc - stuck on hot. Was just about to put the clam back on too! I've still a few jobs waiting too. Groan - need to puch my finger out if I want to make good friday, anglesey!

Seriously, I cannot wait to get back into it and go for a blat on some dry roads. I wish I had it out here today, I hear it's snowing there, but it's over 30 deg where I am. Roll on summer. Kosmo, good luck at Emerald and if mines anything to go by, ensure you know where the fire extinguishers are located. (The CV boot on my car failed causing hot grease to fly out all over the exhaust and promptly caught fire. It made for quite a panic for a while).
AL. Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Possibly HGF. I drove it a couple of times last week and realised that someone had replaced the coolant in the expansion tank with half a jar of mayonnaise. It's still running well, but I haven't dared take it out for a long drive since.
scatty Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 God this threads depressing.....:-( Nothing can be as bad as me driving around in a gold 4 door automatic focus....:-) Since mrs scatty picked up her car, I've somehow taken control of her step dads car until he returns from Spain...it's blooming awfull, but mines tucked up in a nice dry clean garage for over a week now.....
