Hammered Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I'm thinking I need to give my rear end the once over now, having read this post. (No gay comments please I'm defo heterosexual... Nuff said) On bumpy roads is it normal to hear quite a lot of rattle from the rear suspension on a Elise 111r ?
r339xjw Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 get that clam off dave and stop messing about lol
Numbnutz Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Hammered- yeah its usual for a lot of rattling and bumps etc compared to a normal car, but just jack each side up and give the back wheel a good wiggle and bang it too with the palm of your hand etc and see if you can feel or hear any play, then grab the toe link and see if you can twist it a little, (you may need mole grips) and see that it moves ok and isn't seized etc. Yeah Andy - I know ha ha. I suppose I shouldn't have left starting clam removal until 2:30 .... it was blooming cold tho - I was hoping it would warm up. Anyway, like I said, a few seized bolts, but its all undone, but being awkward to come off, so I put it away, warmed up and went on the p!ss to Llandudno over the weekend. Did you put new shinny oem toelinks on yours?
r339xjw Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 of course dave you know me its all nice and shiney underneath lol dare i say it i think its all finished now !!!!
