Thats a huge improvement from 7000rpm, and pulls well past 8500 too, even if it does tail off a little, but you won't notice that much as you'll be getting ready to change gear and giggling too much.

The torque has flattened out a little, but there is a bit of a dip, is that around the vtec swap over?

What are you setting your rev limit to? And when are you getting it back? Bet you are itching to put it back in!

TBs are not for me on this project cool as they are....250bhp from a 1.8l 2zz is for someone else to worry about (they already are) I like the drive to and from Spa lol.

Lift comes in at 5850 Dave. I'll be going to 9k but setting shift lights to 8500.......795kg, close ratio box.....sooooo Happy :-)

All that work for 231bhp... Jonny we need to talk!!! :P

Seriously tho well done mate looks amazing! under 800kg's as well! :)

You getting rid of 'em? Must be at least 12 kilos in that little lot. And brake feel is better without. Or is it a major surgery job?

I reckon it must be lots easier to remove, than it is to add.

I'd love ABS on mine though, I thought Lotus did a good job with the ABS?

Anyway, don't go giving him anymore ideas ....he'll be aiming for 750kgs next...

Oh no it's staying, my brakes are bloody awesome, they are without doubt the best bit of my car.

I'd like to have a go of the Exige/Elise ABS - just to see how much of a big difference it makes. I know ppl say you get more feel with no servo/abs, but I reckon ABS is better for road use, as I hate locking the front up and the time it takes to let off and reload the front - especially if you are breaking late - or some dim wit pulls out right in front of you!

With adjustable susp, you can soften the front, but only so much.

For track only, yes, maybe get rid of the servo/abs, but I can't imagine its better to remove them if you use it on the road mostly. If you don't like the servo taking away some feel, restrict it surely and keep the abs? But then, I've never tried it.

Jonny, what spec/mods are your brakes?

No Martin P680 Odyssey but if I ever want to remove more weight I can replace the front clam, a few kg's in that Braille battery and ditch the 888s for 48's. I have no idea currently where it's going to gounsure.gif

I have the 4 pot Lotus AP big brake kit, AP Groved 308 floating discs, braided hoses, Performance Friction pads on the front. OEM Brembos, OEM drilled discs and PF pads on the back. SRF brake fluid. Great in the dry, no actually MEGA in the dry but feel very bias at the front in the wet. However its a track day car so just a change in how and when I apply them and everythings cool.

Very impressive Jonny ! You have my vote in the bag for the C.C.O.T.Y winner_first_h4h.gif

Yay lol Cheers mate rockon.gif
