Martin R Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Thanks john, I'm glad you're happy with it....it really is an awesome car. Happy to look at the 340 for you Leigh Dan, it needs mapping and a road test at Cadwell
DeanB Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Dan, it needs mapping and a road test at Cadwell Yes Martin that's right. On the 29th May.
jonnyfox Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 I can't make it, work deadlines are due. I'm not a fan of Javelin although I think it would be an excellent day with the MLOC massive.
Alex B Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Ka-Boom.....to be continued.Any ideas Jonny?Will the 2zz return?
jonnyfox Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 I would have thought so ;-) Will take the clam off tomorrow and take the car to Track Group next week.
jonnyfox Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 1,3 & 4's compression seem fine. Checked with a borescope and no damege as far as I can tell. 2's spark plug wouldnt come out so went in via the exhaust manifold.... Nothing more I can achieve taking more bits off so off to Track Group next week.... In the meantime I better order some of these...http://www.ddperformanceresearch.com/ecommerce/model/lotus/elise/ferrea-valve-spring-set-for-2zz-ge.html and hope for the best.
danwebster Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Noooooo! Really sorry to see that.....but on the other hand, do you want me to build you an engine for it now?
Martin R Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 FFS Jon. I expect the plug is mashed as well if it wont come out
jonnyfox Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 Yep that's what I was looking for taking the plugs out at first. I just hope the liners ok mate.
