If I'm not too busy at work I might pop over on Wednesday - only 15 mins away from Donny.

Pop down Leigh I'm there all day, garage 21 mate.

And evening!

Only just seen this - looks great Jonny. !!

If I had seen this earlier I would have left work early and popped over in the evening for an in the flesh look.

Get some final pics up - we'll be expecting a full donny report.

(I suppose I should pull my finger out and get my nitrons and sort the geo, so we can have a play after Spa)

I popped over today at about 11am.

All I can say is - it's a f**king beast!

Awesome looking car with great attention to detail.

Well done Jonny smile.png

Mind you that little trip across might end up costing me loads of money. Was looking at your AIM Dash (wanted one for a while) and talking with John from JSRacing about getting them to fit one for me.............

It's all a bit up in the air Dean, a few niggles that's had a top John Shorrocks pretty much with me 24/7. Track-Group spent an eventful morning shaking down the car with me fine tuning the ECU but I have an oil leak now that's proving a fecker to track down. Hopefully, maybe it's nothing major and may prove to be nothing but residue from some work done a few weeks ago. Just can't tell right now, been on it last night, all today and this evening........I'm shagged!

I only actually got one good stint on track just after lunch. The morning was brief testing noise, building revs, breaking down or limping back to the pits. So here's a few rusty laps, getting my head around the new setup mixing it with some lol SLOWER Caterhams.

Thanks for popping over Leigh, I hope I wasn't rude mate, every time something happened I was thinking the worst!

Will get some pictures up soon Dave :-)

You weren't rude at all, getting the car sorted is much more exciting than talking to me!

Hope you sort out the oil leak (if it is a leak).

EDIT: just watched the video - engine sounds epic!

So sat twiddling my thumbs a little depressed missing almost all of a Donny TD, full Evening, Spa and Chatsworth. I could have come in my everyday car but it wouldn't have felt the same, sorry Dean and fellow minions :-) Anyway oil leak was only a sump issue, and within 6 days of seeing the car off it was back again, a big thx to Track-Group excellent service once again, I think the quote was " what do you expect, it to sit around in a workshop for a few weeks, I don't think so". All a learning curve, figured it may be that but the residual oil despite two or three good clean ups with break cleaner muddied the waters my end.

Anyway while it was there, more mapping was done and now it runs better then ever. That Moosive throttle body and those cams make for a little fecker to perfect, bar a very cold start all is well. It's a little richer, pops and bangs a bit pottering around but it feels good.

I have a list of stuff to do this winter but nothing major (hopefully), just tidying up various bits and a proper paint job. For now I've learned how best to handle a Satin Black finish and that you should NEVER wash in direct sunlight and use Autoglym Vynl/rubber cleaner as a kind of wax. As much as every person who see's it says COOL and LOVE THE COLUR, I can't get my head around it and it'll be white in no time with so many stone chips and thats after just a half day TD session. Well it was only a temp job, the rear clam certainly looks it but I thought I'd be on track sooner. Oulton, Silverstone, Hethel and Donny are booked up September and October.

I had to remove the rear Clam before the car went away and it is a 20min job, back on again I took my time but I reckon 1/2 hour if I pushed it but tbh that's just about being careful and looking after the paint job. I scratched one of the pylons, but I'll be redoing those too as they sit too in board and the tilt is off. They also need further bracing as they ever so slightly wobble, advice from Track-Club having had similar issues. Washer bottle mount is shit also but again done in a rush.

So it's proper clean now and sat in the garage awaiting a DIY photoshoot but in the meantime here are some BaT images.....

It's a screamer.......feel free to guess the weight, I have no idea lol may be 810kg with half tank??? Hoping less...........

So a big thanks to......Gav (and Zant) for so much advice it's untrue, John Shorrocks very much the same and being on hand in a heart beat, Jim at 2bular (takes every call from me ;-) and Stephen/Track-Club who has been super mega fucking dooper efficient. I do these guys an injustice tbh, it's all overwhelmingly good. You too Dave, you really are seriously Lotus. Lastly MLOC, Exiges.com and Lotussport.org. Will keep you updated with any changes :-)

792kg is my guess.

Looking good Jonny. I want that rear spoiler ....

I've missed a few TD's lately - I know your pain. I promised the GF some time away from twiddling with the car - and myself no TD's until I've sorted the suspension and geo, I'm sure I've honoured that promise by now ...

It's a big bad boy that wing. I didn't manage to get any finished images at the weekend for similar reasons, as much as the car is right there being a Dad in the holidays is way more important right now. It's been a looooonnnng year!

I think we should meet up at Oulton or Donny mate, what do you reckon, any of the above interest you Dave, they are with Book a Track?

Had the car weighed with half a tank maybe just under at 815kg, not quite what I'd hoped for but I have a few idea's and plenty to keep me going over winter. TBH there were a few compromises but if I had of been a stickler I reckon I could have shaved off another 10. I will actually :-) Power to weight 231bhp/815kg = 283bhp
