Boot Spring Fell Off! How Do I Fix It!?

As per title. The spring thing that closes the bonnet has detached it self.how do I fix it? Right now I will be driving home with it bouncing around:/

I'm just trying to visualise this from memory. If I remember correctly, there is a collar which the spring sits inside- the collar can move up and down the shaft, but can't go any further because of a shoulder on the tip of the shaft, the same shoulder that the catch latches on to. I can't think how the spring would come off.

Is the rest of the assembly intact? (Maybe a photo of it would help?)

Bought mine. The boot wouldn't shut properly and the catch was loose. All it took was a screwdriver to tighten said bolt/latch up. I'm guessing this part has completely come off??????

Yeh it is basically totally fallen off. As i dont use the boot its not really that much of an issue. so i am just waiting for JSR to get the part that will repair it and it will be fine unless someone is walking around with a engine hoist and have a couple of hours spare to nick the engine while it is parked at work:P if that happens then fair play to there preparedness!!
