lummo Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 The weather was quite nice today, so it seemed rude not to take advantage. Cranking into a tight corner I suddenly experienced some terminal understeer which resulted in me ploughing straight ahead - straight into the undergrowth Fortunately all this happened whilst I was mowing my Dad's lawn on his ride-on lawn mower, so all that happened was some (very) minor damage to his flower beds I know Walshy is more selective on what vehicles he allows on his training days these days - but are Mountfields allowed?
darryl Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 there is a moral to this, i'm just not sure how much you maybe able to sue me for.....................
scatty Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Seems to me it may need a rear wing attaching??? Carbon obviously!

DeanB Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 You need to loosen off the front anti-roll bar.
kayj_prod Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Scatty, extra down force at the back end to reduce understeer? A splitter and some strakes surely? Maybe drop the cutting blade a little more- like the Brabham fan car...
AL. Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Have you tried fitting 195 width tyres on the front instead?
scatty Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 You need the hard top variation!!!! The soft top just doesn't cut it!!!!! ( see what I did there)....
Stumason10 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 We're the blades on?! Be like the old brabham fan car?! If its an s2 mountfield no wonder it under steers!!
Martin R Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 You need the hard top variation!!!! The soft top just doesn't cut it!!!!! ( see what I did there).... Scatty, i dont often get to use my moderating powers to ban people. However you are in severe danger
TimSportsTourer Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 You know that thing about having a passenger to stop the front-left locking up first? The effect is the same with a full grass box on the back. Don't ask how I know this. (I love this thread!)
lummo Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 Too much weight over the rear? I suspect Steve may be a bit too close to the truth with this one
