strees
Have got a walshy day next week - my NS rear is on the indicator to rather, erm, bald. Car has SO2's on them, but have not got it with me today so don't know the sizes etc ... It has been suggested that I should get some new rears before the walshy day. I am based in Derby/Burton on Trent. Any ideas for (1) best palce to get them from around here and (2) the size/model type. Cheers Muchly Simon
Mark H
Lots of answers to this in the archives, a search should throw them up. Example: http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/index...wtopic=4558&hl= Yokohama Advans if you want the best and most expensive (dealer only) Toyo's if you want cheaper but still very good I'm told. No idea where to get them by you as I'm on the other side of Brum but others will let you know.
strees
Cheers. Appreciate the difference between the different makes and prices. But all recommendations are the wrong side of the M6. Could really do with a recommendation for someone local to me.

Dixie
http://www.toyo.co.uk/index.php?fuseaction=technical.faq Enter your postcode into the top left, it brings up LOADS!! You might not get your size at the closest one but worth a ring around! Bridgestone may have something simular. Dont new tyres need a few hunderd miles to scrub in?? Might need to give them a thraping before you get to the track!!
Gareth
Toyo's suck on a dry track. Try, Kumho Ecsta V70A's. £55 a corner. Ordering mine tomorrow. G

G <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only for the first 2,000 miles or so - once they've bedded in they're fine. Certainly OK round Donington...
strees
Okay What sizes are people running then? Also, the T1-R is replacing the T1-S this year - so which is the better tyre for the Elise?
Mark H
Most people choose the larger than standard tyre sizes of: Front 195 50 15 Rear 225 45 16 I pretty sure that your S02's will be of this size anyway.
strees
Yep the BP's are those sizes. Is there a specific DOT code for the Toyos?

Dave S
Hi Strees I Have one old Potenza rear that will do a track day if you want to pick it up? Or the local garage here in Shepshed ( Tyrex 01509 508001) will do them for about £98.00 each. I am looking into the Toyo's but will wait till I need a full set.
