As said in another thread, I wanted an S2 too... a gorgeous Type 72 with sports exhaust and 135 upgrade... i decided i couldn't afford it and as the S1 was the car that got me interested in the Lotus thang, i was perfectly happy to get one.

 

Lets be honest, we'd all be pretty happy with either wouldn't we!

 

Kris - shall we start our own thread and ask permission that only we can post and we can do it to our hearts content (S1 vs S2 that is )

Scott - won't work - Beefcake has mysterious powers and can make things happen to threads, and I am suspicious about a few of these moderators also...

 

 

OK - back on the original topic then, the XJ is a great car but unbelievably easy to drive very very fast without realising. I am not surprised that this came top though. We have had a few of them and they've all been great, and although not cheap I think they're not over priced either compared to some of the German alternatives.
