bella2769 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Hi all bit sad that the summer is coming to an end, but pleased to say I'm still getting the roof off at any opportunity. I am conscious that I need new tyres before winter approaches (still planning on using the car through the winter!!) but I would really appreciate some confirmation on what I think has been suggested before on my new tyre choice (I've tried to find my post with it on but can I find it? I'm turning into a techno phobe) So if my memory serves me right a lot of you said Toyo TR1's but I also have Advan's in my head? The use of my car is my daily commute:drive: and posing at any opportunity so I'm guessing I need a good all rounder but I am also planning on a track day next year. Again I am sorry for asking a duplicate question but really appreciate any advice. I've been checking back through the posts and OMG I have a lot of stuff to think about, window seals for one - mine are well bumpy now its been mentioned - lol. Loving it all though. Here's hoping for a sunny weekend.

Advans are fine for a dry track / road, however you will find them difficult in the wet and the snow. PS just come out of the garage from touching up stone chips. Dave

I better get some ordered mine are a little lacking in grip. If I was to try and touch up stone chips I'd be on forever, I would like to get it fully touched up (got a man who can & prob wouldnt charge me the earth) and then keep on top of it - shame it wasnt loved that much by its last owner. I also need to get the rubber out of the footwells and think I'll look at doing the window seals after reading the thread. Lots to do to keep me out of mischief. Thanks again Dave and hope you get out with yours a bit more too. Karen
