siando Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Sorry as i know this will have been asked befor but... I have changed a section of the cooloing hose, I now just need to know how is best to bleed the system. Do you get the engine tep up then open the bleed valves or just do it running? Any advice would be very helpfull thanks
Martin R Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/index...+coolant+system Ive also bled the system without using an Ezzi bleed and it also works well. You can tell when its bled correctly as the hose from the rad on the N/S ( passenger side ) will get warm. The feed from the engine goes down the drivers side sill to the rad and returns from the rad up the passenger side. It sometimes takes a couple of attempts to get all the airlocks out HTH
jimbo07g41 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 You will hear about people either having the back end or the front end in the air. This is because air will go to the top of a system when water becomes pressurised. I dont think it really matters to much whether you are a back or front man, as both the expansion bottle and rad bleed screw will let you get the air out.
