R.I.B. Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 What an amazing turn out! Haven't had chance to get on here yet, would like to give praise to all the organisers, you all done a fantastic job. I really thought it was going to be chaos getting 70 plus cars into a formation. JonS, I didn't get chance to say hello until the end, I was the guy who said "thanks Jon" and stuck my thumb up in the red S2 when we was all leaving. Photo's look excellent, will there be the full resolution aerial shots available for download so I can use it on my desktop and keep it with all my Lotus pic collection? Also want to see how well I can see myself Phil
insanity Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Looks cool!! Any objections to us uploading some of these to the MLOC facebook group? (Assuming someone hasn't already done it - can't access at work!) This way we can all tag ourselves/cars etc... I wouldn't put good quality ones up - I'm sure you lose some rights once uploaded... anyone clarify this?! Thanks baz
Mark H Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Probably best not to: http://www.legalandrew.com/2007/07/21/face...things-to-know/ Facebook thrives (in part) because of the content users post there. But did you know that posting content gives Facebook a license to do whatever they want with your content? By posting User Content to any part of the Site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to the Company an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part) and distribute such User Content for any purpose on or in connection with the Site or the promotion thereof, to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such User Content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. In plain English, this means you’re giving up copyright control of your material. If you upload a photo to Facebook, they can sell copies of it without paying you a cent. If you write lengthy notes (or import your blog posts!), Facebook can turn them into a book, sell a million copies, and pay you nothing. This deserves careful consideration!
Half Colin Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Wow, what great photos! Sonya and crew deserve a huge pat on the back for making something so amazing and it was nice to have contributed a very small part of it - 1/80th in fact!

Nice following you back to Leicester Colin, car looked great.
Half Colin Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I have one set as my desktop and it looks pretty clear Nice following you back to Leicester Colin, car looked great. Thanks - yours looked great too - seeing an Elise in your rearview mirror amongst other cars reminds you just how tiny they are. Hethel next on 14 Sept - my son's looking forward to seeing even more Loti in one place. If there's a Leicester convoy I'll tag along the back.
Deleted_User Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Looks cool!! Any objections to us uploading some of these to the MLOC facebook group? (Assuming someone hasn't already done it - can't access at work!) I would prefer it if mine stay on here Baz. Although I tag my photographs as Mark mentioned if someone uploads them to facebook they can use them for anything they like.
JonS Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Thanks Phil. Sorry I didnt catch you prior to you leaving! Colin - I'm organising a convoy on the Sunday morning, you should tag along if you can. Details here.
insanity Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Probably best not to: No prob, good job I asked!! I'll still put a few of my own ground level shots on anyway, not bothered about copyright on them - they're not that good! @Scott - Don't worry, I'd never add any picture without asking... that's just wrong! @ElisaLaura - Followed you off the airfield, love your number plate... but got me thinking... is it a simply just "a cool word", or a surname, or something to do with a job?! Am always curious with this stuff...
Sonya Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Sounds like we'd rather keep them to ourselves, lets maintain that exclusivity! We will be issuing an 'official photo' shortly. Sonya PS Apologies to all those people who I said I would try to catch up with and didn't, even if you did introduce yourselves and I had to flit off (marmston!). Those of you who have an involvement with Hethel organisation, I will try again to catch up with you all this week separately!
R.I.B. Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 We will be issuing an 'official photo' shortly.Sonya Excellent, will there be the original size hi res photos available? Stretched over a 40" 1920 x 1080 screen they look terrible, plus I want to see how well you can see everyone . Cheers Phil
