L7YSE Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Good luck to them. I don't think Lotus give two hoots what Elise owners think as it isn't aimed at them. I'd consider it, but only as a second hand buy. ... just had to say... Like your "asian" cat! Smirk every time I see it! Reminds me of the TMNT boss...
Fiona Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Cheers! Here is where a dealer mentioned £65k: http://forums.seloc.org/viewthread.php?tid=175703

Mark H Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 BBC seem to think it will be £45k http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7511591.stm And for the petrol heads that will no doubt be flocking to the show, there is also some eye candy in the form of the Lotus Project Eagle, a £45,000 British-built sports car.
LivinLaVidaLotus Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 There's all sorts of prices flying about right now for a fully spec'd version (how many people tick all the options?), with £58-65k being quoted by various dealers. Which if the base car is £45-48k, would seem about right for every box ticked.

Lotus and options Errr Sports Pack: Take a few bits out, Add 4x point harnesses and logos Touring Pack: Slightly Better Radio, 2ft of extra carpet strips, Cup Holder It is good to see where all the extra money goes
LivinLaVidaLotus Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 lol, yes, they are a bit of a laugh on the current cars, reading the press release though about what will be available it's fairly easy to pick out the stuff that'll be an optional extra. Guess we'll all know for sure tomorrow though, hopefully.
Martin R Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Bibs on SELOC and LEF reckons it will not be 65K if he does not know, no one does, Trust me

Steve J Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Bibs on SELOC and LEF reckons it will not be 65K if he does not know, no one does, Trust me I hope he does, but obviously some of the dealers don't. It already has aircon, leather etc; so what possibly could cost £25k in options? If it's £40k - £45k then it might have a chance of selling a few, if it's higher then I fear they'll be twiddling their thumbs waiting for orders.
Mark H Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Live link - Check page title, Lotus Evora! http://www.facelesspeople.com/index-play.html
LivinLaVidaLotus Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Talk about arse about face though, typical Lotus, you go on about true character etc. etc. then ditch the name that defines true character as it's dictionary definition.
