LivinLaVidaLotus Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 I'll make it a 3rd, sometime in the past week someone has hit GFs Yaris, taken a chunk out the paint-work around the rear arch, bumper panel gaps are out as well and scuffs along the trim in the corner of the bumper, there's no way they didn't know they were doing it, scum.
Lee Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 Well looking at my car again, with slightly less anger it looks like 90% of the marks should, I hope, polish out. Going to have a crack at it tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Lee Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Phew, a bit of Meguires and some T-cut and the impact mark is now almost invisible. Thought it had gone through the paint at first but it was a white scuff mark. Little bit happier now.

It the fear of sounding stupid, I have a nasty rub/scratch that some git did to my car and would like to try your technique... I've heard a few horror stories about T-Cut and I've never heard of Meguires?! Did you just polish it in!? Thanks baz
Lee Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 Well I used stage 1 of the Meguires 3 stage system. Cleaner, Polish, Wax. Got rid of the very light marks. Then I very gently used some T-cut, and had a few goes until I was happy with the results. Area wasn't too big though.
