Ah, I wondered if anyone on here had bought that one! I saw it on Tuesday when I picked my car up after some warranty work (new radiator). Looked very nice ;) Bet you can't wait

not brought from them, but been to the showroom, very arrogant, very pricy bunch of pricks if you ask me

This negativity towards PMSC really surprises me.

I bought my first Lotus from them in 1982, and have never had anything but top-notch service from all sections of PMSC ever since.

I can put hand on heart and say that they are the single best independent Lotus specialist in the country.

The sales staff, are knowledgeable to the extreme - remember, they have to recall tech facts, figures and trivia on all Types of Lotus from 1952 (I'm using that date because the Lotus 6 is the oldest car I've seen in their showroom, and I think it was launched then) to date.

The parts dept is as efficient and friendly as any parts department I've come across, and I'm not just talking Lotus here.

And if you want quality workmanship at very reasonable prices (£45.00/hr) then I'd take my car to PMSC mechanics rather than anywhere else. Where else can you go and pick the chief mechanics brains about a job that you're taking on, and not only be fully advised as to the procedure and possible pitfalls, but also be offered specialist tools to borrow - gratis.

Don't get me wrong; Nick Whale and their like have their uses I get great service from Ian Garrett whenever I ask him for anything. But, I for one will happily continue to drive past the local Lotus Dealer to the country's leading Lotus Specialist for as long as my arse continues to point downwards.

i second the negative comments on here, hard people to deal with i found....act like theyre doing you a favour by taking £16.000 from you! just my ten pence worth. treat as you find.

+ they only ever did one job for me, car went in immaculate, came out dirty and covered in oily paw prints!

..however the job in question never raised any more probs for me after they done it.

From reading a lot of threads about Paul Matty when I was looking for my elise 6 months ago it seemed that the negative comments were coming from people who were dealing them with regards to an elise, where as for other (possibly older) lotus's the comments seemed positive

Bought my Elise from PMSC and would buy there again.

Quite liked the luke-warm sales technique.

Took the car back within the three months and they fixed the problem, (took 2 visits, long boring story).

Winston.
