  1. Thats brill, thank you. I will have a look. I have the Elise 111R.
  2. Hey guys, need some help here. The side door hinge inspection panel bolts were seized and rusted to dust. In fact one them just spins so i managed to wiggle off the panel fortunately only damaging one of the holes. The issue i have now is that one bolt just spins in the hole and the second is just a rusted stump. Is there a way of accessing from within the sill from above so i can bolt it down. The last thing i want to do is dremmel of the nut and a bit of metal sliding up and down the chassi. Sorry for the poor picture, hopefully you can see the bouncing bolt on the left and the rusted stub on the right. Unfortunately its the same on the other side too!

  10. HAHA "Tunnocks caramel wafer". Prefer mine from the freezer so ill have to keep it at home 🙂 Thank you for the offer too. I will have a look in more detail and i'll be in touch if these need to be changed. As for doing things in pairs, i couldn't agree more. Tyres, brake pads, suspension, all done in pairs.
  11. Brill, thank you. I will have a look at these
  12. Ive been 'at it' with the wire brush and its coming together nicely. I think the bearings need changing though as ive used it for a few times before taking the clam of and its sounds rough. I like your idea on replacing the nuts and bolts though, that could be a good start. They look evil at the mo! 🙂
  13. Funny enough, i live next to the sea!
  14. Hi all, I wanted to post a pic to get your advice. I took the clam off to repair it and wanted to see what the condition is like underneath. I noticed the knuckle joint on both N/S and O/S looking sorry for itself. My gut doesnt like what i see but do you guys think I should change this? If so, is it a big job?

  16. Hey! Thanks for getting in touch. Since this post i've managed to remove the weather strip and found the bolts from the cabin (the same fixing which is for the hard top) but the last 2 bolts are the trickiest. I cant get my hand via the engine bay so presume the next step would be via the wheel arch?
  17. I'm looking to remove the rear window shroud on my short roof S2 111R so i can access to remove the vinyl wrap. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I've heard stories of removing the clam but wondered if access is available via the wheel arch?
