  2. Hi Luke, not sure I'm using this site properly so just wanted to ask whether you received my message? Cheers Chris

  3. I'm bucknall way and as with rich would be happy to whip the seats out for you and see if I can stop the bulkhead rattle. A few strategically placed pieces of the fluffy side of stick on Velcro can often work wonders on that bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. A lot of the consensus in vx220 land is that 10.9 is the sweetspot as they are more resistant to fatigue than a 12.9 in HCBs and ToeLinks. As a regularly replaced item in a race car 12.9 is probably best but if your planning on fitting and forgetting for a few years 10.9 is probably the best compromise. 5. Best asking whoever is doing it, gav and unit 4 stripped mine off in about 2 hours and it was at power house for about 3 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just caught mine at 35k - the base bearings are none replaceable and when they go the impellers eat themselves. A snout and needle bearing change along with some fresh all stops this occurring. If the base bearings go it's scrap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Mileage dependant id look at a supercharger service too on a 9/10 year old car. The 'service free' thing is bollocks, a fresh set of bearings and oil will be a very good investment. Powerhouse in chesterfield are specialists in this and did a great job servicing and porting mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Given it's probably never been done in 6 years I would . Just buy a cheap Chinese clay cloth and chuck it afterwards https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311618142213 Quicker than a bar and will get the worst of it off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Paintwork is pretty hard on a BMW, you won't get rid of the swirls by hand. 2 options, mask them with a polish that contains some filler which will give a slight short term improvement or give it a machine polish to remove the swirls. I've got a couple of DA machines but only finishing pads (as VX/Lotus paint is soft as shite!) welcome to borrow one but you would need to buy a medium cut/ swirl removal pad. So long as the car is properly cleaned (and ideally clayed) you need to be totally hamfisted to mess it up with a DA polisher. Good few hours with that then a decent wax/sealent should see it right. 10. Compromised. Which it probably is in relation to a golf, but it still has a roof, doesn't leak much, keeps your warm, copes fine driving in traffic, isn't overly uncomfortable. It's not IMO hardcore. A 2-11 or a caterham is where I would start to define 'Hardcore' in that it's so compromised to maximise its intended use that it has a serious impact in its effectiveness in use as a 'car'. I.e I wouldn't fancy going Tescos in the rain in a 2-11. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have a boy who would love that... And a wife that would divorce me if I bought it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. https://imgsafe.org/ a decent option - very very simple and not jammed full of ads like PB.
