  1. I get exactly the same on my 56 Elise S. It happens when it is hot outside, never get it in the winter. I took the instrument pannel off and disconnected it gave the metal female connectors that the spade connectors go into a squeeze with a tiny screwdriver and it fixed the problem. I think they just expand a bit when it's warm and make the connection a but dodgy. Hope it works for you as well.
