  1. Welcome, very nice looking car you have there, I had a Signature Orange 350 Sport for a year and still have a soft spot for a bright orange Exige I'm probably not too far from you, just across one hill and into the Peak District, near to the village of Eyam. What part of Sheffield are you? Keep an eye on the events section for Peak District or Midland tick runs - they are generally on a Sunday morning (for clear roads) although we really ought to try some evenings etc for a change. You have to be quick though if you want a place though, due to CV restrictions we place a limit of 6
  2. Welcome to MLOC and the BIG aero club Great choice of car, I reckon then Elise Cup is the best all-rounder Lotus have ever made, it's flipping brilliant at everything and costs peanuts to run. If you are North Notts I'm sure we will see you on a Peaks run sometime soon
  3. Blimey you know how to treat a lady You've missed the Eyre Arms at Calver crossroads (Classic Run 2019) and to be honest I would give Peak Rail a miss for a while, the approach road is absolute toast - more than one of the potholes could swallow your S1 whole, never to be seen again

    Revelation!!!

Sadly not Lotus related but I will tell anyway... Many years ago, my mate's wife passed her driving test after a few attempts. From the test centre she dropped off the instructor and then went for a quick drive for fun. My mate returned from work to find her missing and a little later she phoned home from Torquey (280 miles away!), having gone there because "she knew the way" and was enjoying the drive
  5. That's a coincidence, sent you a pm half an hour ago because I know of someone looking for one - too late! Always a bit sad to sell a Lotus but don't worry, you can always buy another
  6. I agree with the replies made so far... Nice car but not rare, sadly not really worth anything extra over pretty much any other Elise SC of that age/mileage. The offer of £19K is about what would be expected for a straight cash purchase by a dealer, but with a bit of fettling it would be up for sale on their forecourt for £25+K. As Alex says, £22-23K private sale should see it shift pretty quickly and you can filter out the timewasters on the phone Or, left field option, you could try the Collecting Cars auction website for a hassle free sale. I have watched most of the Lotus sales
  7. Sorry to hear that Adam, when a car is proper money then it really should be bang on, especially at less than a year old! You could keep the Exige and buy a cheaper Evora, run them both for a while and see which you prefer!
  8. Wow! That looks fantastic
  9. Sorry to read of your troubles OP, the 2ZZ is generally very reliable so you've been unlucky There is this on SELOC, not cheap and not in the UK but advertised as low mileage so might be of interest? https://classifieds.seloc.org/ads/exige-elise-engine-toyota-2zz-ge-1-8l-6-speed-gearbox-clutch/

    Help needed

Value of the full set according to someone who should know (he sells second hand Lotus parts as a business) is around £900 to £1100, depending on condition. For that sort of money they have to be straight, a few marks in the paint are ok but no bends or dinks! Good luck with the sale, you can advertise them on here FIRST of course but another (arguably bigger!) market is on the classifieds of SELOC which is also free for members.

I agree, victory wheels, very well regarded and sought after! I don't know the value of a second hand set but I know a man who does, I'll ask him his opinion and let you know

  13. We are delighted to announce that the tickets for LitP are now on sale in the MLOC store You can click on the LitP poster on the MLOC home page, or the LitP tab on the drop down store menu, or just click the link below! https://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/litpbooking/ You will first be taken to an information page that should explain everything that you need to know and from there you link through to the store.
