I am an Engineering Manager at GE, and I am also the Technical Directors of our race team, MacG Racing. We ran our Lotus Exige in the UK Time Attack Championship with reasonable success in 2010, despite the car giving away over 350bhp to some of the cars in our class.
In late 2010 we bought a Westfield Aerorace to carry out driver tuition in, and we competed in a round of the UK Westfield Championship at Rockingham, taking 2 second places in the two races in our first outing in the car. We then entered the final round of the Scottish Sports car championships at Croft, in which we took 2 class wins and was the first non slick shod car home in both races. In the second race we took over a second off the lap record at Croft for a UK Westfield Championship regulation Westfield.
From 2011 onwards we have been entering the MSA British Endurance Championship in our race prepared, self built and developed Ultima GTR. Plenty of developments have been done to overcome some technical challenges and we are making good progress.
