  1. Just picked up my 111R after a lot of service work at PJS and I have to say it’s changed my recently purchase car from fun to drive to an absolute pleasure. New front and rear springs and dampers, track rod end, anti roll bushes as well as a new radiator and fans. It took longer and cost a little more due to the bodged repairs it’s it’s earlier life but I am really pleased with the work and care taken on my Elise. I have to save up now to sort the bodywork out, maybe during the winter as I need to be driving it during the hopefully sunny summer.

  2. Its been awhile since being on here! and I haven't seen a lot of you in blooming ages1 Back in March last year I decided to bite the bullet and go head first into an engine swap in my S1, Covid helped this somewhat by stopping my boys football/rugby training and matches giving me week day nights and weekends. First I needed to source an engine, after Alan and Alex having there cars to ponder over I was initially looking at a K20A2 EP3 engine, but finding one under 100k was near on impossible unless it was re built and costing a small fortune! So I decided to look at the slightly

  9. Hi Guys, I've just joined the forum so thought I should say "Hi!". I am Joe, I have an Exige 410 Sport in Military Grey. It is my second Exige - the first being a black 350 Sport. I am 100% smitten with my 410 and hope to keep it for many years to come. I live in Northants on the Cambs/Rutland border and i am a life-long petrol head. I have a regular column in Absolute Lotus Magazine and i am a photo hawk on Instagram @jcxmig posting tons of pics of MIG 191 my beautiful 410. I also feature on the #MyLotus page richly filled with Lotus owner stories

  11. Good Morning All, I'm posting up my experience in case anyone else was thinking about getting their geo done. I have had my 220 Cup car for a year and it's my first Lotus so I didn't have a Lotus benchmark for handling but had wondered about the car feeling twitchy at speed so hearing how pleased Ray was after his car was geo'd at PJS, I thought I would give it a go. Nick at PJS did all the work which was very comprehensive and involved discussing options with me (for example, to ensure the car was equally sorted whether I had my Yoko V105s or Toyo R888Rs on) as well as explaining a

  14. Thanks guys. So nice to hear such lovely heartfelt comments. Part of the reason for the heart strings twanging at this decision is how great the community is, and I include everyone in here I have/haven’t met. Truly hope to be back in a Lotus but our young family need a dad with a 4 seat car. Best Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Well after my run with Mr Nash, I was looking at Maclarens........a lot. Even measuring the garage. But I decided that not being part of the Lotus community was too high a price to pay.

  24. Toyota are there, and there is something on the lotus website too. I couldn't see Caterham, BAC, KTM, Polestar etc. Perhaps we are that niche now! Or perhaps the UK government should think a bit more about it's UK manufacturing entities. (hee hee, I got to write the word titties without incurring the wrath of #metoo, or perhaps not now I've said that...................!)

  30. I can't see that there was any finance Phil - I asked for (and received) copies of the invoice (which showed it was paid by credit card number *********1234, as they do) and the full payment credit card receipt with the same number. My only concern was the possibility of a 'log book loan' but he had both keys and the original V5 so that seemed unlikely too. I was going to do a proper HPI check (not a cheapy!) to further cover that risk. No, I think it was a straight up car, I simply misjudged the situation by making an offer rather than going straight in at asking. Covid further complicat

  37. Another ex vx220 owner here. Only got rid of mine last year and now into an Evora. I have been getting out in the peaks super early on sunday mornings in the summer but its a bit boring on your own so feel free to give me a nudge if there are any sheffield/peaks runs happening? Never realised there were so many lotus owners around town!

  47. Great drive out to Hathersage this morning for a swim in the open air pool which is fab, heated to 28deg all year. First proper drive out on quiet roads after changing squealing 2 piece disks for EBC turbos so I could properly enjoy the car. What a machine 😍💨
