Alex I have an old set of front wheels at Gav's you can borrow if you like. Just tell Gav - they are on the roof of his toilet!

Hi Alex, you are welcome to borrow the fronts of my road wheels, they have Contis on but run true on my car without any vibration. i'm over in Derby on Friday and don't mind dropping them off for you on my way home.

Alex Out of interest what tyres do you have fitted? When I had my Exige I had terrible steering wheel wobble at roughly 70mph. Did absolutely everything and nothing solved it. I was then told to change the tyres from A048 to R888 I didn’t think this would work for a second but desperate to sort the problem I changed them and low behold sorted it instantly!!! I also know other people who had this problem including SImon CIVRY on MLOC who solved it by doing this too. Mark

    New Member, coolant loss

Could have been something as simple as a leaky coolant bottle cap which you reseated when changing coolant.

I've checked this already Phil. However will go back through it. I've had my wheels balanced at various places in the last 12months.

Is whoever is balancing them applying weights on both the inner and outer edges Alex? I had an issue recently where a tyre fitter 'balanced' my wheels with just weights on the inner edge. I had a wobble so took them back and watched them balance them again, still with weights just on the inner edge and still the wobble was there even though their machine was saying they were balanced. I went somewhere else (ETS on Alfreton Road) and they balanced them properly with weights on the inner and outer edges and hey presto - No wobble!

My wobble has be present with two different sets of tyres now, so not sure tyres are the way to go. I'm thinking the issue may be with a wheel.

    AD07 or AD07LTS2?

Hasn't everyone been running AD08 for years now since it replaced the 07?

    AD07 or AD07LTS2?

I am due to change all tyres shortly and I have come across ADVAN AD07 cheaper than AD07 LTS2. Has anyone run AD07 instead of AD07LTS? There is conflicting info out there. HELP!!

Alex I don't have spare wheels, but I had front wheel wobble problems last year. Lots of trips to my local tyre guys, who kept insisting the tyres were 'distorted' and the only cure was new tyres. They showed me the wheels spinning on the balancing machine. Still had 3 or 4mm left, but bit the bullet and put new fronts on and while not 100%, it was a massive improvement. 2007 111r with AD07's at the front. Just food for thought.....

More than welcome to pop down and borrow mine Alex, only thing is, it is a bit of a trek for you. I'm literally just (less than 1/4 mile) off the A14 about 15 miles from the M1 junction. Handy for a quick spin to check them though. Just put brand new R888R on them too

I appear to have a wheel wobble and I'm trying to rule out wheels. So does anyone have a spare set of alloys with tyres/just a set of fronts with tyres I could borrow to see if the steering still vibrates? Thanks Alex

    Evora tpms replacement

Another source is from the following, but I think this could be a couple of years old and I haven't needed to use then as my sensors are still ok on my 2010 Evora : TYR- S002-T-Pro Clamp – In Sensor Part No: HTS-A122B, 72-20-364 Tel: 0116 2001020 Unit C Whiteacres, Cambridge Rd, Whetstone, Leicester, LE8 6ZG £36 approx I think the actual make is: Schrader TPMS Part No. 13227143

    Evora tpms replacement

You can buy individual ones from lotus via Deroure but they are not cheap, or from ebay. There was a recent thread on The Lotus Forum and here is one response: Much cheaper to buy a set of Autel sensors and programmer pad. The Lotus system on the Evora uses 433Mhz and the sensors need to be programmed with an ID number and system will detect the sensors and learn which sensor is where after driving for a few miles. The sensors do need an ID programmed in the first place so you can't use the Autel sensors straight of the shelf. The Autel programmer should be able to clone your existing sensors if you want to keep the ID the same but as long as the sensor is programmed with an ID the system will self learn. Set of 4 sensors are available for around £80-90 and the USB programming pad is available for around £40-60. Here are just one link out of many from Ebay also many sellers on Amazon selling both Autel sensors and programmers. Autel MX sensor 433Mhx £80 for 4: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/X4-Original-Autel-MX-Sensor-433MHz-Programmable-Universal-TPMS-Sensor-Most-Cars/183264912039?epid=1342402954&hash=item2aab70a2a7:g:d38AAOSwi3tbIjHt Autel programming pad £40: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autel-MaxiTPMS-PAD-TPMS-Sensor-Programming-Programmer-Accessory-Device/233134236958?hash=item3647e2251e:g:a3AAAOSw1vxcZo7N
