We know that a lot of us signed up for Chatsworth and there was loads of us there but I'd like to know exactly how many Lotus' actually turned up. Please "vote" above if you was there in a Lotus so that we can hopefully get the total number.

The cafe at Hassop station reckoned that we were £48 down on what we pre-ordered. One gentleman has already owned up to ordering two but only having one, so now we are at £44 down. Or rather I am! (note to self - get the money in advance next time!) I am absolutely positive this is all as a result of honest oversights or mistakes, rather than anyone trying to pull a fast one - MLOCers aren't like that - and I recognise that it could be a mistake on my part or the cafes part, but could everyone just have a think? Maybe someone pre-ordered and didn't come? Just pm me if you think you may owe something. Cheers guys. Sorry to be a pain. Dean

Some of you will have seen the threads running asking for suggestions as to how MLOC can celebrate it's 10th anniversary. A Derbyshire Sunday morning run followed by a picnic at Chatsworth in midsummer was tentatively suggested, and, in the abscence of any better candidates, informally approved. I believe the Liberal Democrats select their Party leader in much the same way. Anyway, the date is now fixed for Sunday 8th July There will be an early morning run, to include a stop-off for a cooked breakfast (I will devise a route, and provide maps etc for all those taking part - those that did the Derbyshire Run Out in January can testify to the quality of the roads an…

Hi everyone, For Chatsworth next week are there any planned convoys from the Warwickshire area? I don't have a sat nav and am generally rubbish with geography so I'll probably get lost and end up in London! I'm Nuneaton way so travelling up with a few cars would be ideal Chalkey

Will all attendees please read the following. It contains important information about the day, and will hopefully ensure everything runs smoothly. Please be at Swanwick Services at 7.30am sharp or a little earlier if you can. Sorry it’s early, but the empty(ish) roads will be worth it I promise you! The Services are off the A38, near to Alfreton, postcode DE55 1HJ. Beware some sat-navs may lead you astray, so on leaving the A38 follow the signs for the services. In the large car park, Group Leaders will be parked abreast at the far end. Choose a group, and park behind your Group Leader’s car. Martin R (yellow Elise s2 Sport 190 with stripes) and Lotusram (wh…

Hi guys I'm thinking (stressing) about this, so I'm sure there are others also. The forecast for the week ahead is pretty rubbish and I think we have to allow for the probability that the weekend could be much the same. I'm just wondering what the arrangements are like at Chatsworth for the meet. Mainly, parking. The thread in events says we park facing each other across a drive, does that mean "on the grass" because I just have this vision of 70 Lotus' all stuck in the mud and Chatsworth house going mental because of us churning up their lovely grass verges. Also, if it pi$$e$ it down all day are we just going to get soaked, or are there tents / gazeebos e…

It looks like only 50 cars are signed up on SELOC but there are 72 attendees on the MLOC list. I know some of you that aren't doing the run will not have signed on because it's not necessary, but has anyone that IS doing the run forgotten, or not yet got around to it? There is still plenty of time. I need to print and take with me a copy of the SELOC list to check attendees are on it, but I will leave it until about 6am tomorrow to do it. Don't be put off by the aggravation - it really is dead easy, even if you are not a SELOC member it only takes a couple of minutes to join on line, and it's free. If anyone else fancies it that hasn't put their name down on a…

We urgently need group leaders for the Chatsworth run. So far only 3 people have volunteered. Big-up to Russelld, IGYW and lotusram. Without enough group leaders the whole run will be seriously compromised. We need at least another 3. Anyone willing to help? There's an MLOC 10 year anniversary sticker in it for you - in advance! i can e mail you the route, it is not too complicated. No special skills required - just good sense. Dean

The big day is drawing near so we all need to make sure food orders have been placed. About 35 of the 60-odd coming have let me have orders, but not every one of those orders has been complete. To remind you, I need to know the following: 1) If you are coming on the run or not. I am assuming people are UNLESS they pm and tell me different 2) What people want to eat for breakfast. The choice is: Bacon cob Sausage cob Vegetarian sausage cob Egg cob 3) what people want to drink for breakfast. The choice is: Tea Coffee Please note - the arrangement we have with the cafe we are stopping at is that they can cater for all of us, but only if …

The original Chatsworth thread is now a little unwieldy, and difficult for people to find details of timings, locations etc. To help, here is a summary: Sunday 8th July 2012 A "run" will commence from Swanwick services, off the A38, near Alfreton, Derbyshire. Postcode DE55 1HJ (subject, I am afraid, to the granting of an MSA license, necessary for insurance purposes). Briefing at 7.30 am Leg 1 Swanwick to Carsington Water - postcode DE6 1ST (first cars arriving approx 8.15 am) Leg 2 Carsington Water to Hassop Station, near Bakewell - DE45 1NW (first cars arriving approx 9 am) 9 am to 10.30 approx, breakfast at Hassop Station cafe Leg 3 Hassop …

I will be doing the MLOC@Chatsworth run route in full next Sunday morning. A sort of dress rehearsal. Due to the large number of attendees we will need at least 5 (plus me) volunteers to lead groups. It would help if group leaders could make it next Sunday but if not no sweat I can let them have the route to test-drive on another day. So far team leaders are: Russelld lotusram Itgivesyouwings Any more takers? Some familiarity with Derbyshire's roads would help but not essential. Meet at 7.30 am on 11th June, Swanwick services (A38, nr Alfreton). Anyone welcome. We will be back at Swanwick about noon.

MLOC was started on the 8th May 2002, I have started this thread to give us time to plan something to celebrate our tenth anniversary! I guess the first thing is ideas! What would people like to do/go to and we can then work out our budget? Second thing, anyone want to help out with the organisation/getting involved? Anything else at this stage to add?
