Both notifications and also when you send a private message, you might get an error. Dont worry if you see the error, there is no reason to try and post the message again as it will have gone through, its just the email notification of a new message that is failing.

Can we have this turned off please? I'm a busy man and I haven't got time to wait before I post my next bit of spam/useless info/Scott bashing Although I think you should increase Scotts personal flood control to 1 hour

Hi Mark, Been having difficulty accessing the sites recently. It's very slow, crashes frequently and about an hour ago today wouldn't accept my logon. Is it just me or are there general problems going on? Cheers Steve

Mark I'm getting a strange run time error message popping up on the forum whenever I move between threads or click anything. Any ideas? Not getting it on seloc so I don't think it's me. Something about unterminated string constant... Kristian

Everytime I post, or reply, I get this error, but it still actually posts what I've written... -- SMTP protocol failure! Host: localhost Return Code: 550 Return Msg: 550 Verification failed for Invision Power Board Error: Incorrect email address: <insert admin email addy here> Check your SMTP settings from the admin control panel -- It gives me a random admin email addy every time (Sanjoy, beefcake....) Any ideas?

Nothing to do with me, was a problem at the host. http://www.ipshosting.net/ Thats the status page should it happen again, we are server number 7. I intend to upgrade to the new version of the forum once I have finished testing and have time so the site will go down for a little time at some point.

Let us know if you keep getting error messages that look like this: I contacted out hosting provider and they have confirmed the problem is the server has reached the maximum number of database connections it can process at once, if we keep getting the problem then I can hassle the host to upgrade the server I expect it to only happen at peak times when all of the accounts on the hosts server are very heavily in use.

Mark Where do we stand on doing a one-shot broadcast to email to all MLOC-ers to publicise the next run or monthly runs? The runs are the only means of people actually meeting one another on a regular basis. Do you have the means to do it as administrator? Could the permission be extended to others, e.g. me? Perhaps its just my keen-ness to see the runs well attended, but I have no way of knowing to what extent people are actually visiting the site, and therefore, if they are aware of the runs. Equally, without pushing messages, how do we find out whether the site and associated movements are giving visitors (and more importantly, lapsed visitors) somethin…
