Just had a set of wheels powder coated by: http://www.citypowdercoating.co.uk/ £30 wheel including removal of tyres, blasting and small repairs and refitting with new valve and balancing.Only £20 each if you have no tyres on. The wheels are a set of Audi wheels with winter tyres for the OH's car. They have done a great job.Would recommend them for 'standard' wheel refurbs.

Well, you may know my old tin can has been down at Unit 4 for a new air con condenser, while gav had the front off he suggested upgrading the rad, which i took his advice and did...On paper this should have been a doddle and half a days work or there abouts...mmmmm, 8 hours later and one cut and infected finger, the front clam was eventually off. Wherever my car had been to be resprayed, there idea of putting it back together involved threaded bolts and a dab of glue here and there....gav was that stressed and ready to chuck my car in the bin he couldnt phone me for 2 days so he could cool down... lol (no air con pun intended)... anyway front clam off and then gav had to…

Just a quick heads up that we are running another Trackaction-Online club trackday at Oulton Park on Friday Nov 2nd. This is a regular event we've been running for five years now and 90% of our entries come from our forum and other club groups so it’s always a friendly day out, free tuition will be available from our ARDS instructors and obviously we’ll be running open pitlane. Cost is £130 per car/driver, bookings can be made at OUR SHOP, we can also do deals for groups of 5+ Please post up on here or message me with any questions or to sort group bookings. Hope it’s still OK to put this up on here and that a few of you will be able to make it along. …

I thought I'd share my experience of Essex Autosport. After a good few years of my S1 being garage bound & gathering dust I decided to take the plunge & get it repaired but this time with something a lot more reliable & something that would give me the buzz I had when I first bought her. So after trawling the forums reading lots of posts about conversions I decided to have an N/A Honda done & eventually settled on EA. I gave them a long list of things to do & after eight weeks I collected her this morning. I can't thank Andy, Tony & the rest of the team for building me such a fantastic car. Since picking it up I've spent all day dri…

Hi all, Had a temporary "Blip" with my car yesterday where it refused to start and it was towed to Clifton garage in Northampton. Martin seemed a really nice guy, and the place was littered with MG / Rover cars so he appeared to know his way round the K-series engine. Whilst I realise he is not a Lotus specialist, he certainly is someone worth considering if anyone needs anything K-series related. Did all the diagnostics on the car, refitted the front number plate which the tow truck driver knocked off, waited after 5 so I could collect once I had finished work and then didn't want any payment for his troubles (obv I gave him some beer money) Service like…
