Hi - I will be buying an Elsise hardop in the next 2 months and wondered if anyone else is planning the same. Middlemoor Mouldings offer a decent discount for bulk orders. Hi, Have had a fault on my Esprit 2.2 se on the G plate now for some time. Two dealers have told me its the coil, but having replaced the coil i still have the problem! I have had most of the wiring checked, & now i need to get the ECU checked. Can anyone please tell me where i can get this checked out ( not NW or kings ). Have tried ATP but they cannot help. Or does anyone know if the ECU is the same as one off any other car? I live in hope ! Tks Starbuck

First registered in March 1999, the young yellow peril has been carefully stored in GJOB heaven for the past few years. After polishing the cobwebs off it im well and truly on my way to spoiling the bloody thing with the subtle hit of a 50 mile cross country round trip every day and a tarnish on the service book by taking it to an independent from now on. My question is this with regards to the next service. All at the same SGT main dealership, its had something like a 1000 A then a missed stamp for some reason (prob been stored and required B instead) B in 2002 with 6k miles A in 2004 just a few mths ago at 9k miles It is next scheduled an A in 9…

Theres a high pitched whining / whirring noise coming from the front end which goes up and down with speed (like anyone i guess!) and isnt affected by dipping the clutch. It also goes when i turn hard right. My guess is the wheel bearings but before i get them done, are there any other ideas? cheers steve

Window washer thingy Any ideas about how to clear these out since mine have suddenly started working on one side only, which would not be too much of an issue if the one that worked was the driver side. Presuming that something has got blocked somewhere. Kristian

My S2 111S has just developed the ability to turn the side lights on itself, and won't let me turn them off. Drove to work this morning , no need for lights on. Parked up at work, put the roof on set the alarm and went inside, no problem. 2 hours later someone tells me my car lights are on,so I check and they are. They are accompanied by an electronic warning sound inside the car. Tried turning the lights off & they wouldn't. So tried starting the car, and it started no problem, so battery isn't flat yet. Anyone out there had anything similar or know what it might be? Thanks, Dave

Started the car this morning to be greeted by a VERY loud ticking coming from the engine bay. Poked my head under the lid and the noise sounds like its coming from the main block. And when I say loud - its LOUD. Parked in the street I can hear it in the house. Its louder than my exhaust. At warm idle (1300rpm) it ticks about 4 times a second. This increases as the RPM increases though. Inside the cabin it sounds like there's a woodpecker having a go... Everything looks fine - oil and coolant are ok, temp stays at 87 as usual, no loss of power (it seems, didnt take it over 2500rpm though). Stopped the car and restarted once at operating temp, sill the same tho…

i was wondering how high u should take the revs to?? i was out booting it about the back roads last night with roof down(awsome i must say). i was taking it up to around 7000 rpm and changed gear cos it sounds a bit to much for k series. i,ve seen a post before regards someone taking there elise up to and beyond 7000 rpm.....i just don,t want a piston in back of my head thats all so wonder what is limit some ppl on here take there cars to??

Can anyone recommend a good rubber adhesive ? On the drivers side ontop of the windscreen, the rubber that acts as a channel for the front of the hood is splitting and I want to stick it back. I just don't want to use something that will disolve the rubber ! Ta very much Steven

Car has not been used for 3 weeks so when I came to start it up it was not a surprise that the battery had run down. Connected jump leads from my main car but it would not start from these strangely enough. Whilst I was puzzling over the reason for this (there was still some juice in the battery cos the interior light was on and the battery is only a few months old), the alarm started to beep (feebly). Might just be my paranoia playing up again... I've noticed recently that when sitting in neutral at the traffic lights I get a chugging noise, sounds just like a tractor, except quieter obviously. Put your foot on the clutch, and it sounds sweet again (well, as sweet as a 1200rpm idling 160 sounds) but take you foot of the clutch and it comes back. Only sometimes its louder than other times, it varies. The reason I'm also worried is that I'm getting some funny groaning/rumbling/heavy vibrations when engine braking. Again, drop the clutch and it goes away... Not sure if they're linked, its TADTS or I'm just being overly sensitive to the joys of no soundproofing…

Hi All, Greetings from bonnie scotland! I'm on holiday, and i have noticed a slightly disturbing knocking coming from the front end, it happens when i an travelling in a straight line, and stops when i turn the wheel either direction. It has a regular beat, ie. knock, pause, knock, pause, knock, with the pause always seeming to be the same length of time. I have a feeling it may be the track rod ends, but i am pretty uncertain. The rack was replaced recently, could it be loose? Any suggestions or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated before i hare back down the M6 at 90mph on Sunday. Thanks all Ian.

Decided on the run that standard = pants! Gotta get a Janspeed. Anyone know the cheapest supplier? (rfer to MLOC knowledge, aka can't be arsed to phone around )
