Hi all, I've just been on the phone to Horizon, they are a helpful bunch aren't they! I actually live on the South Coast but they are offering £278 inc VAT & shipped to the saaaf for free, which I thought is pretty damn good. Question though. I've got standard alloys on a Mk1. Will the following Toyo tyre specs fit without any mods: 195 50 R15 225 45 R16 Sorry that this has been a repeated topic recently. Cheers, Graeme

I'm fairly new to Elise ownership but am enjoying every minute so far. I have two alarm key fobs. One which very rarely works and one that can be fairly tempremental. Does anyone know how I get hold of a new one?

This is just for general information if anyone ever has the same problem as me - particularly with everyone talking about getting braided hoses atm. Some of you may be aware that I've been whinging about a rythmical rubbing noise from the front nearside wheel when steering right. It started once fitted new greenstuff pads and braided hoses. I initially assumed it was the pad binding on the corroded part of the disk, since the disks are slightly worn and the greenstuff (front) pads are significantly larger than the oem ones. Thinking they'd eventually wear throught he corrosion I left it, but the problem didn't go away. Eventally decided to get the wheel off and s…

Finally got round to buying and fitting my ally tat, which is a big achievement quite frankly, given general laziness and ineptitude. Quite pleased with it and have a few more goodies to come. Not very exciting pictures to follow... Don't particularly like the light switch surround things and won't be bothering with them, and was a bit nervous about sawing off the indicator stalks but it turns out to be dead easy. However, in the unlikely event that anyone is actually behind me on a run and I suddenly stop signalling you'll know why...

I have the lovely aroma of petrol when i'm out driving. It's not leaking or loosing fuel any quicker. Is it just the heat do you think?

Scott, last night you mentioned that you have the larger size tyres on your car, being a duhh brain i've forgotten what those sizes were! Can you or anyone tell me what the larger size tyres are that i can put on my car (S1)? Wendy you're probably reading this - can you remind me? Thanks

Got the car out to wash yesterday to find a pool of oil on the garage floor. The filler cap had a trail of oil over the rocker cover (even though it was on tight) and there were pools of oil on the left part of the engine under the air filter. Also what's that black plastic thing sticking up from the engine under the filter. It looks like a stalk with a flat head on it? Oil is now midway between the guides on the dipstick so probably only lost 1/2 ltr (as with blood, it looks more than there is). I haven't removed the undertray yet but there is oil still dripping. So the big question: Is it possible due to overfilling Overheating Something's f…

In my second techy question of the day... I'm going to "attempt" to remove my de-cat and replace my cat it after Scott informed me of the cost of his recent MOT when he had to pay Horizon to do it. However, I've been told that without a powered nut/bolt remover thingy I wont be able to budge the bolts/bits. After 12 months of heat cycles I've been told they'll be tough. Any advice? and while your here, and to save me hassling Wendy, what do Horizon charge for a B-Service? Ta muchly

What else should I be doing whilst I have the car like this: I'm of the Dijon & Magni Cour for track days in a few weeks time, so the brakes are getting abit of a birthday, hopefully just a clean & new fluid. I'd hate to put the car back together and find I've missed something, so any other suggestions? Simon

Had a puncture in the front of one of my (new) Proxies not to long back. Took the wheel off myself, took it to Quik-fit who repaired it for me. But now I've got a strangle handling feel when that wheel (passenger side) loads up under cornering. I'm not sure how to explain it...but its a bit like the tyre is about to come off...like its about to peel off the wheel. But its not *quite* the same feeling as you get from tyre flex or under-inflation. Seeing as we drive clockwise round islands, its ruining my fun as I keep thinking its about to come off! I've checked the pressures and they're fine....I can't imagine that I've knocked the geo settings in removing …

Series 1 Elise owners: Does anyone have experience of turning off the alarm by turning the alarm over-ride key below the dash ? If you turn it off, do you then have to recode the alarm/immob when turning it back on or is it just a case of pressing the button on the fob to start ? thanks.
