Trying to find where to connect my shift light and need to find the coil pack. Firstly, does the VVC have the same one as the standard K?, and where is it in the engine bay? I was asking a guy who fitted his shiftlight to the coilpack in his 340R, but when he had a look in my engine bay he couldnt find it! Ta! Dave

Just to clear things up - am I meant to be having the cambelt changed now my car is 4 years old? Bearing in mind I'm now on 18k As it's gotta go up for sale to fund my house purchase (or my RS2 ) I don't want to 'not' do it, only to find that people will moan/haggle because I haven't. But then, I don't want to change it needlessly. Can someone clear this up? Ta!

Elise Foot Well Continued As some of you may have seen on Brit Cars, one Lotus Elise owner has had the footwell warranty work done on his car. He has been disappointed by the results. The repair work has consisted of a loose thin carpet fitted to the shape of the footwell in black with two penny style screw bolts at the foot grip end (near the seat) which were bonded/stuck to the floor. The bolts are to hold the mats in place. Unfortunately the bolts came away after just the second exit from the car and have had to be returned to the dealer, also the flooring under the carpet has not been treated in anyway. This does not necessarily mean that the floor will …

I know this seems like a strange question... But how do you go about making a hole in fibreglass without causing fractures that could possibly spread? Is there a special way of doing it that should be left to the experts?? Don't worry I'm not about to vandalise my Liz

Scott, Replaced all my std LSS with LSS with exige springs on that i picked up from a seller on BCBBS following a leaky nsf. wondering what ride height you are running since i recall you saying you had exige springs on. i fitted them at standard height and it seems to be 120/130 front/rear. it feels stiffer than std. which i guess is the springs how are yours doing and what height have you set them to ? Next mod is a CRP (courtesy of Dave), however, according to Eliseparts I need a MIL Light Eliminator (£16). Anyone got any experience of fitting such an item?

Did a bit of a cleaning session yesterday (even had the wheels off!). Opened up the Hurricane and the filter was a bit dirty. Just cleaned it with a stiff brush. So just checking that I'm not missing anything by not getting the Eliseparts cleaning kit. 2 bottles of dubious content for £30 vs 1 old paint brush for nought. Thoughts?

I have a rattle that I havent been able to identify for weeks. I just assumed it was the rollover bar but having spent a LONG time in the car today I finally decided I had to do some testing when I got home. It turns out that it is not the roll bar or back window (does it when both are OUT). It is definately coming from the drivers side so can only assume that it is either the drivers door (rattle is still there with window UP and DOWN) or the seat (rattles is still there with seat in all positions). I also have a CD changed behind the seats that may need to be tightened but if after I do that it still rattles does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Tha…

Hi all, I've just been on the phone to Horizon, they are a helpful bunch aren't they! I actually live on the South Coast but they are offering £278 inc VAT & shipped to the saaaf for free, which I thought is pretty damn good. Question though. I've got standard alloys on a Mk1. Will the following Toyo tyre specs fit without any mods: 195 50 R15 225 45 R16 Sorry that this has been a repeated topic recently. Cheers, Graeme
